Chinese Exclusive Pokémon Cards
Some Pokémon cards exist only in Simplified Chinese. They are not translations of Japanese or English cards — the artwork, and often the card itself, was created for the mainland Chinese market and released nowhere else. Below is every Chinese exclusive we stock or source, grouped by where it comes from. All photographs are our own.
The Holy Grail — Mew ex
Mew ex 033/SV-P was never sold. It could not be bought from a shop, pulled from a booster, or ordered from a distributor. The only route to one was participation: fifteen sanctioned PTCG events each month, across at least three different Pokémon Gyms, made you eligible for a lottery draw.
151 copies were released per month. The programme ran for ten months, putting a total of 1,510 copies into the world. For a modern Pokémon card, that is an extraordinarily small population.
It is currently the most expensive Simplified Chinese exclusive on the market, with raw copies trading north of $10,000.
Gem Pack
Gem Pack is a product line that exists only in Simplified Chinese. There is no Japanese or English equivalent. Each volume centres on full-art holo cards, with a run of designs drawn from the Pokémon Horizons anime alongside standard Pokémon. Because the line has no counterpart elsewhere, every card in it is by definition a Chinese exclusive.
Collect 151
Collect 151 is the Simplified Chinese release of the 151 set, split across phased boosters rather than issued as a single product. Each phase carried its own exclusive Pikachu Art Rare, numbered 170 to 173, illustrated by Oswaldo KATO. The four cards do not appear in any other language.
Booster Boxes
Simplified Chinese main sets are numbered and reorganised rather than mapped one-to-one onto Japanese releases. That restructuring leaves room for cards that have no home elsewhere, which is why Special Art Rares and Ultra Rares turn up in Chinese boosters that collectors cannot pull from any other version of the same set.
